The EWB team has started working on a live project for “Modernizing a village”. Mangamaripeta – a village 6 km from Rushikonda. Mangamaripeta is a village along East coast that faces many problems. Basic amenities such as sanitation, water for irrigation, health care and many more, are missing.
The EWB team has currently planned out a survey operation to set up three infrastructure based projects to solve the problems that is experienced by the people of the village
The complete project will need a funding of 15-20 lakhs and the EWB team is hopeful to get this amount from their HQ in New York. “By completing this project successfully, about 2500 villagers will benefit directly and if we increase our water storage facility, then 4500 people will benefit from the surrounding areas”, says an ecstatic Bharat when asked about this project.
We dream of achieving this project by the end of our fourth year, and we intend on planning the same project amongst 14 other villages within the vicinity of Bheemli very soon”, says Miss Akshita, Vice-President of EWB, Vizag.
Dreaming of such a feat by any person requires great courage, and to say it out loud to the world with a sense of responsibility , even more.
