An Exciting Decade of Change for Arlington

The one constant in life is change. During the last decade Arlington
experienced rapid and immense change. The City has grown into a
vibrant, diverse, and high-profile destination for business, education,
services of all types, entertainment, and those seeking their dreams.

In the Arlington Fire Department, we work aggressively to innovate,
to adapt, and to seek efficiencies in order to provide the best
in needed services.
We take our responsibility as stewards of public funds seriously.
Leveraging partnerships with other public and/or private entities helps us achieve
strategic community service priorities. The AFD is a data driven organization seeking cost
effective solutions designed to meet and exceed our citizen’s needs and expectations.
AFD’s core business model is focused on the key issues of “Risk and Demand.” AFD
funding requests are specifically developed to address community safety risks and
the increasing service demands of our growing community.
The AFD team’s effective
business management approach is one of the reasons we’re rated as the lowest
cost per capita Fire Department among the largest eleven cities in North Texas.
