The Office of Special Events( OSE) is staffed by a Deputy Chief, a Captain, and two grant-funded Emergency Management Planners. These individuals work closely with numerous City departments and outside agencies to ensure the safety of guests at each event. OSE is responsible for ensuring proper City permits are filed, developing Event Action Plans, and coordinating with venue personnel and other City departments to ensure a successful event for all. A total of 376 deployments occurred in Fiscal 2017 with members working 21,884 staff hours in 2,065 positions.
