The FY2012 response times are measured by National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1710,
2001 edition response time requirements, which include a 60 second turnout time, a 240 second
travel time, and total response time of 300 seconds or 5:00 minutes for all responses. Calls for
service are categorized by Fire, EMS, and Other Emergencies. Other Emergency calls are
comprised of assisting other municipalities, hazard investigations, specialized rescues, HazMat
investigations and mitigations, Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) investigation and mitigations,
and requests for assistance calls.
