Budget Highlights The FY2024-2025 Adopted Budget includes :
� $ 108,178 to fund for an Engineering Project Manager to help support large scale capital projects within the Town .
� $ 96,453 to fund an Engineering Technician to provide day to day technical work within the department .
FY2023-2024 Accomplishments � Participated in the Capital Project Steering Committee to formalize the annual CIP process . � Participated in the full implementation of the SmartGov development review software . � Completed 2023 Street Resurfacing project . � Completed construction on Junction Blvd Culvert Repair project . � Bid and began construction on Forest Ridge stormwater project . � Completed phase I and began phase II of stormwater infrastructure inventory and assessment
( small pipes ). � Completed Duke Energy utility relocation ' s for White Oak Roundabout . � Completed NCDOT review of final documents for White Oak Roundabout and bid for construction . � Rescoped Jones Sausage Road – North project and acquired $ 7.7M in LAPP funding . � Completed the design for Rand Mill Rd and Main St Streetscape project and advertised construction bid . � Completed the design for Pearl and Parker Street and finalize bid documents . � Completed the design for Town Hall Annex project and advertised construction bid . � Advanced Yeargan Park – Phase 1 design to 75 %, those plans were submitted for site plan review and permits . � Completed construction of Meadowbrook Park Phase 1 which consist of draining the pond and breaching the dam . � Advanced South Garner Greenway design to 45 % and acquired $ 2.6M in LAPP funding . � Completed the construction of Junction Blvd . pipe lining � Received 100 % design for Aversboro and Garner Road Sidewalk project . � Awarded Forest Ridge Pipelining construction contract to Narron Construction . � Began design on Garner Senior Center . This design will be to remodel the men ' s and women ' s restrooms , along with retrofitting an attic access to replace AC unit . � Moved forward on the Bryan Rd . Sidewalk / Road Widening project , utilities have been relocated and we are working with Raleigh Water to discuss waterline relocation . � Updated Engineering Department website for better access to information , especially related to capital projects . � Created floodplain management webpage on the department website . � Guided Town-wide installation of Google Fiber by reviewing and issuing encroachment permits and performing construction oversight and inspection . Over 724,000 linear feet of fiber line were installed and inspected .
