By fostering innovation , entrepreneurship and job creation , Investing in our Economy lays the foundation for longterm prosperity , enhancing the standard of living and promoting social advancement for individuals and society as a whole .
Leveraging Technology in communities can streamline processes , increase efficiency and enhance access to information and resources , ultimately empowering residents to lead more connected and informed lives . Significant investments in the management of the City ’ s data , implementation of new technology and increasing convenience for the customer are planned for FY24 . New projects include an enhanced permitting solution , on-line jury module and a signal system upgrade analysis .
Supporting Youth and Families is fundamental for nurturing the next generation and building resilient communities . A successful community requires a variety of support systems and an environment that enables our residents to flourish and grow . In FY24 , the Arlington Housing Authority will work with United Way Arlington to improve the 2-1-1 Information and Referral hotline for Arlington residents . In addition , the Arlington Public Library continues to provide support for the child and student ’ s development by regularly partnering with Arlington Schools for purposes of outreach and programming and to support students , teachers and faculty in their endeavors .
