Message
Dear Arlington Resident,
I am pleased to present the City of Arlington’s Fiscal Year 2012 Popular Annual
Financial Report. This report and the City’s Comprehensive Annual Financial
Report are the public equivalent of a private corporation’s annual report. These
documents report on the financial health of our organization. They are our report
card to you, on how we are using your money to further the community’s goals and
priorities.
In our continuing effort to be transparent about our operations and spending,
we outline in this document the challenges and opportunities we have faced during
the last fiscal year and will face in the future. You will see that the City of Arlington
is on the rise, following the economic challenges of the last four years. In FY 2012,
