I AM ALWAYS IMPRESSED by the amount of activity that goes on in the summer on
our little spit of land. Every one of our volunteers who support our Fleet have worked hard
for this summer and have continued to help in every way possible for the betterment of
our club.
The FWYC Ladies Sailing Team placed SECOND
in the Knost Regatta!!!! The Knost Regatta is
held each year and held for women only. This
year the teams competed on the Viper. We owe
a huge thank you to our sailing team and their
support!

Thanks to Directors Lou Richard and Linda
Wright for keeping the Summer Series running this past month. I appreciate their efforts
and also a big THANK YOU to Cece Stoldt for the photos! Cece is always right there with
camera in hand ready to record our regattas. And not to be forgotten, congratulations to
our winners:

JD Sweitzer
Third Place
Russell Brown
Small boat racing is a very popular activity each year having about
fifty people participate in the Summer Series and Frosty Nipple Re-
gattas. We have had a few glitches this year with ECSA’s procure-
ment of new boats. Many of us will be learning new equipment and
boat handling techniques for the coming years. We also have a new
procedure for checking out club and ECSA boats. All Junior members
and people under the age of eighteen (18) should have signed
Summer Series
permission forms completed in the office, before taking out any of
Youngest Qualifier, the boats.
