WELCOME TO SEPTEMBER . It ’ s been a busy year so far & we still have more to come . The South Dock repairs have been completed along with the repair of several pilings . The Scat boat lift has also been rebuilt in a way that should better protect it and keep grease from dripping on the scat boat . On the down side , Izzy has left our club and we are searching for a new maintenance person . In the meantime , if you notice something amiss , please fill out a work chit and leave it on the bulletin board in the office . This will ensure it gets addressed in a timely manner .
Speaking of ‘ down ’, that is exactly what happened to our hoist at the launch ramp . A committee has been formed to look at various replacement designs and to make a recommendation to the Board . We hope to find a solution that lasts another 50 years !
With the weather cooling a bit , we will start thinking of painting the clubhouse as scheduled in the five year plan . This will be a combination of contracted and self-help activity to avoid putting members at risk while also controlling costs .
Shortly , we will be scheduling a fall work day to tackle a few items around the property . Stay tuned for further information . In the meantime , enjoy the facility and the friendships !
