Party Time!

It’ s Fall!

How did it get to be Fall already? This year has been so active that time was measured by“ what’ s on tap this week” with hardly time to look ahead. That said, September activities were very fun. The FSU / Alabama football game & potluck was well attended. I am always amazed at the quality of food that can be prepared at home, transported to the club and served over a 3 hour time frame!! The desserts entered for the contest were phenomenal as usual.
Monday saw another“ make do” event with the Labor Day picnic. Danny Gross did a yoeman’ s job of grilling hotdogs. I needed to make a grocery run in mid-afternoon to replenish dogs! What a great way to usher out the summer. More weight was gained at the Oct23rd Mongolian Barbeque with Eric & company cooking up wonderful cuisine of your own making,
Of course, October brings us the Commodores’ ball on the 7th. On the 28th, we will have our Halloween party( s). Yes, 2! Our recent membership spurt has grown the ranks of children to where it is practical to have a children’ s Halloween party starting at 5:30. They will show off their costumes to all of us and then enjoy fun and games in the Castaway room. Our adult party theme is Heroes & Villains. Live music will also be on hand.
On Veteran’ s Day weekend, FWYC will be hosting the FCYC bimonthly meeting. On Saturday there will be dinner and dancing. Our Members are invited so mark that on your calendar. There has to be something going on that sparks your interest.
Come on down and enjoy the events that your committee works hard to facilitate.
