30° 25.60’N 86° 35.58’W March 2020 Commodore’s Report Welcome to March! This transition month toward full on summer is a great time to enjoy the amenities at the club. In addition to the parties & regattas on the schedule, don’t miss out on the New Member meet & greet on March 13. This is a great way to meet those that have joined over the past few months and let them get comfortable with long term Commodore Craig Stoldt members. The following Friday (3/20) you can put aside the cold weather togs and burn those smelly socks at the annual sock burning. With all these opportunities to enjoy your favorite passion at the club, there are many that seem to not be getting the announcements in a timely fashion. I will soon be heading an effort to ensure that the office has correct emails, physical addresses and phone numbers for all members. This is important for many reasons in addition to ensuring the “club news” gets to all. Need something special for your event? Our chefs can get very creative with a dish to fit your needs. Looking back at the past month, the Pirate Ship offered an entertaining afternoon for families to enjoy and couples had a wonderful meal & venue at the Valentines Dinner (thanks Shari, Tom & Allen Chapman). Also, the launch ramp has been repaired within budgeted cost and schedule (thanks Bob). Hopefully, lack of correct contact data did not cause someone to miss out on these great events. Great job on the pram, Drew! As a reminder, there is a comment box on the right end of the main bulletin board with comment cards on the wall. Please let me know of concerns (and accolades, too) so that adjustments can be made before they become critical. See you at the club. Craig 3 Letter Log
