WELCOME TO 2018 . I first want to thank you for entrusting me with the responsibilities
of the Vice Commodore for FWYC. This is not a responsibility I take lightly and will do my
best to ensure the duties of that role are fulfilled to meet your expectations.
That said, I need some help this year from the membership in the way of information. First
and foremost, if you notice something in need of repair or improvement, please leave a
note in my club mail box and / or with Sandra if it is urgent. Many items were suggested
in the Membership Survey this past year and those will be evaluated for feasibility. Sec-
ondly, I would like to rejuvenate a committee that falls under my guidance and has been
dormant for some time. That is the Training & Education Committee. If you have a topic
of interest you feel would benefit the club to hear or one you would like to present, let me
know and we’ll see about making that happen. I’m sure there are several of you out there
with knowledge that would be of interest to others.
As far as other committees, Gerry Harvey has agreed to continue as Dock Master & Jim
Serpa will continue managing the dry storage area. Bob Fisher will also continue in his
role as Chairman of the House Rules Committee. The Marine Equipment Committee will
be chaired by Linda Wright. Thanks to these members for stepping up to manage these
areas to ensure our club is well maintained and safe.
