John Douglas Harrison
JD has been sailing most of his 10 years of life.
He comes from a family of accomplished racing
sailors, so his success has come as no surprise to
most people.

In June 2019, JD raced in the Junior Olympic
Sailing Festival at the Pensacola Yacht Club,
getting first in Green Fleet. In
August, he raced in his first Red
White & Blue regatta, the
Galloway Regatta at Gulfport
YC. Also in August he raced in
the Junior Olympic Rock Paper
Scissors Regatta in
Birmingham. In September
2019, he got third in RWB Fleet JD with his 3 rd
at the Chappell Stitt Regatta at Place Trophy at
PYC. In November, JD traveled the Chappell
Stitt Regatta
to New Orleans and raced in the
2019 Opti Midwinter Championships at Southern
YC. He found fierce competition and extra strong
wind on Lake Pontchartrain.
In the local Opti races, JD is consistently in first
place. His next regatta will be the second
weekend in February at St. Petersburg YC for the
Valentine’s Day Regatta .
Well done, John Douglas. Keep up the good
work.
