FWYC Letter Log February 2014 | Page 9

Page 9 ECSA News ECSA Needs Your Help! ECSA (Emerald Coast Sailing Association) has suffered a significant financial setback in a dispute with the IRS. The ECSA, in partnership with FWYC, is the lifeblood of our youth and adult sailing programs. ECSA is looking for contributions to get back on our feet. ECSA is a 501c3 organization, so all donations are tax deductible. Donors will receive a confirmation letter documenting our charitable organization status. Please help us to continue the work that ECSA has accomplished since 1992 by donating to ECSA. Make your check out to ECSA and drop it in the ECSA box in the office at FWYC. Thank You! The big news is that two teams of two juniors each are planning to attend the 420 Midwinters in Jensen Beach, FL in February. This is a big event with registration expected to exceed 80 boats. It is a full race event which allows the use of spinnakers and trapezes. Kelly Stukbauer and Stirling Nabor make up one team and the other is David Beaudry and Ian Hunter. Also on the horizon; the University of Minnesota sailing team will be returning on their spring break to practice with our high school sailors during the week of 17 March.
