of the Florida
Commodores
Association
We are very pleased and
proud that Past Commodore
Phyllis Seaton has been
selected to receive
The Florida Commodores
Association - 4-Star
Commodore Award
Each year all eligible yacht clubs in Florida (some
90 +) are encouraged to submit nominations for a
Past Commodore who has made a significant and
major impact on the Club, its membership and the
community. This year the award has been made to
our own Past Commodore Phyllis Seaton.
Congratulations!! The chapter will be honoring
her with a reception on Sunday 05 Jan, to which
FCA Chapter Members, the FWYC Flag Officers
and Board, as well as the Executive Committee of
the FCA are invited.
P/C Phyllis Seaton will also be receiving the award
at a ceremony at the Club later in January.

A good time was had by all chapter members at the
FCA October Change of Watch held 25-26 October at
the Halifax River Yacht Club (http://www.hryc.com/).
P/C John Slattery for HRYC was installed as the
Commodore of FCA for 2014. Both our incoming
Commodore John Slattery and Wayne Stewart treated
us to a sunset cruise on the Halifax River. What a great
time that was!!
For our Winter meeting, the Chapter won't have to
travel so far. It's going to be held at the St Andrews
Bay Yacht Club on 7 - 8 February 2014.
Don't miss the next luncheon on 3 December,
beginning at noon in the Commodores Room.
