Rear Commodore's Report
Whowee! March was one heck of a party around the club. Many
thanks to Chris Washack, Jackie Chapman, Barbara MacPike and
Karen David for their mad decorating skills! They made it possible
for all of you to enjoy our Fat Tuesday and St. Patty's Day Parties.
...and thanks to CeCe Stoldt, Wini Marquez and Mike Jimmerson
for hosting another successful Sock Burning Festival. This has been
a wonderful start to our spring season...
Ever popular with our members, next up is the Mongolian BBQ!
The yum-fest will be held in conjunction with the General
Membership meeting and Race 5 of the Zevin Series on Sunday,
April 7. Options include Beef, Chicken or Shrimp for $20 or the
Super Combo for $25. Prices include meal, soda/tea/coffee, tax
and tip. On Saturday, April 13, join us for the Caribbean Party
with music by Tropic Flyer, an amazing Steel Drum Duo. Event
starts at 5pm and the band will join us at 6pm. We're still working
out the menu, so stay tuned for updates on Facebook and your
email. For the young ones (and young-at-heart), the Easter Bunny
will be stopping by the club on Sunday, April 21 for the annual Egg
Hunt in conjunction with the Easter Brunch. As in past years, we
would appreciate any donations of small, wrapped candy to place in
the Easter Eggs. You can drop off the candy in the office--I'll have
a marked box there for you.
Make sure to call the office to book all your reservations. You
really don't want to miss any of the fun!
...and, as always, I would love to have your help decorating for these
parties! We'd love more help with setting up and taking down
decorations for the Caribbean Party and Easter. Also, we're
looking for volunteers to help stuff Easter eggs. If you're available,
