In addition to starting our Wednesday Night Fun Races, we have wrapped up the Zevin and the Frosty Nipple Series. We had several can- cellations for our small boat series this year due to weather impact. Thanks again to Director Richard for all of his help. Congratulations to our winners! Zevin Memorial Regatta: First Place Viperator, Craig Wilusz Second Place Pelirrojas, Jerry Black Third Place Breakaway, Sam Grant & Charles Hine Frosty Nipple: First Place Second Place Third Place Cameron Farrah & Cliff Farrah Jennifer Grant & Sam Grant Russell Brown Everyone should take notice of the new arrangement for Randy Smyth’s Olympic trophy display in the bar. Not only is it a new arrangement, but plaques have been added to en- hance the look. In addition, they have begun cataloging each trophy as mentioned in the February report. Excellent job Trophy Committee! The Hogtown Bayou raft up was a big success. Members who had not participated in raft ups joined in for a great weekend on the water. Fun was had by all! In addition, Allen & Jackie Chapman will be hosting another Spring Fling meeting, Tuesday, April 3rd, at 6:00pm. Anyone interested in the Fling should attend the meeting. The FWYC Blessing of the Fleet will be held on April 14th, at 4:00 pm, and in addition to the Blessing this year, we will have a Marine Sale that begins at noon. The Marine Sale is the same as a Garage Sale, only with boating items, not garage items. Anyone wishing to participate should call the office to reserve a table to sell and/or give away their wares. Please keep in mind that the club is not taking donations. Wednesday Night Fun Races have begun! If you want to sail, join the fun every Wednes- day. Come down and hitch a ride or bring your own boat. Our Mid Bay Bridge race will be held on April 28th. All Notice of Races are on the bulletin board in the hallway and online. Check out the bulletin board for new information about Capdevielle sailing, upcoming events and some rules and regulations concerning boat usage. Don’t forget about the US Sailing Multihull Championship starting April 18th. We are look- ing for volunteers. Let me know if you can help support our race management team and sailors. 8
