Membership Happenings
ith the onset of warmer weather, we are seeing many more members with families take advantage of our outside
activities at FWYC. We have requested our maintenance team to clean up the play area and de-barnacle the
swim platform ladder, along with other requests in preparation for fun in the sun, on the beaches and in boats. Come
on down and enjoy YOUR club. It’s the best time of year at FWYC!
The Membership Committee is putting the finishing touches on a new Transitional Membership category which will
be presented at the April board meeting. This new category is geared to ages 19 to 36 and should make FWYC much
more attractive to the younger generation. This bylaw change will be posted on the bulletin board after the April board
meeting. Take a look at it and let your board members know if you support it or if you have some concerns. The final
vote will take place at the May board meeting. As always, the Membership Committee is willing and able to answer
questions as well. We are just an email away - [email protected].
We want to remind you to mark your calendars for the Family Fun Day and Blessing of the Fleet on Saturday, May 20
starting at noon. The Membership Committee is working with the FCA and Entertainment Committees in prepara-
tion for this huge event. We will invite non-members to come to this event as Event Guests in hopes to showcase our
club to neighbors, friends and coworkers who may be interested in membership, or perhaps have just never been to
our club. Be thinking of people who you feel would enjoy this fun day at FWYC and invite them.
The new FWYC Menu will be out on April 4. All members are encouraged to come out and try different dining
options at anytime and anywhere you want to eat. This new addition to our dining services will hopefully improve
member participation as well as be advantageous in attracting new members to FWYC.
