Fuzionz: Tell our readers a little about who you are.

Kimberly: I've been married for three years. My husband and I have been together for nineteen years. I have two kids, a daughter and a son. I like to read, write and watch movies.

Fuzionz: At what age did you discover your talent for writing?

Kimberly: I started writing at the age of thirty. I had a friend who was only 15 and I wanted to help this child, but I was in my addiction and when a person is actively using drugs, it is hard to help someone else. My friend died when I was locked up and that made me want to help the young people. God had freed me from my addiction and now with a clean, sober mind I can do his work.

Fuzionz: What do you write about?

Kimberly: I write about real life issues and things that have happen to a lot of people, especially the young adult population.

Fuzionz: What have been some of your biggest challenges as an author?

Kimberly: I would say meeting the right people, in this business. I have met a lot of people and some were helpful, but for every one that was helpful there was one who wasn't. So I choose very carefully who I will work with, now.

Fuzionz: Tell us about your book.

Kimberly: My book title is A Brother's Secret - It's about a family destroyed by mental illness; a brother who was molested by some of his mother's male

friends. With no outlet, to talk to someone, he began to molest his sister. She now has two kids by him and is afraid to tell anyone about his secret. The title was so fitting for the story because the sister kept his secret.

Fuzionz: What audience does your book cater to?

Kimberly: I write mostly for the young adults. I want them to know that they are not alone; however, this story has touched a lot of people. Incest is real, especially if you were born in the 50's and 60's.

Fuzionz: What advice would you give to those who are seeking to become writers?

Kimberly: If I had to give advice, it would be follow your dreams. If you would like to be a writer, take the first step by getting started. Your story may help someone through a hard time.

Fuzionz: What is one of your favorite quotes or scriptures? Why?

Kimberly: No weapon formed against me will prosper. I have been through the storm and God has always been there to pull me through. My story is no different than anybody else's story. I share my story freely in hopes that it will help someone.
