Evaluation of pop up event

A key factor that contributed to the success of our pop up shop were the garments where chosen by our buying team. We had a great selection of luxury to basic meaning we catered for all. At the end of the day it came down to the amount of clothes people bought and our range served us well by making us £563.74 which resulted in our group making the most out of the week. The store window is a huge factor that entices customers in. The outfits we created are stylish, fresh, bold and captivating. It gave people an insight as to what we hold instore. The logistics team decided to sell cakes and other sweet goods to entice customers instore by holding them at the entrance or to complete their shopping experience by selling them at the checkout counter. In total, we made £87.15 of donations from the cake sale. Another factor that contributed to the success of our pop up shop were the students standing outside persuading customers to come in by giving a brief description of the collaboration and what we are aiming to do by collaborating with TRAID.

We had projectors showing videos of our adverts on the walls that informed customers on our stand on sustainability. Customers were also aware of TRAID’s hashtag #SECONDHANDFIRST. By donating your unwanted clothes, it can be sold on to someone who loves it or TRAID can recycle it into something new sustainably. Also, students in our class post Instagram story’s explaining the purpose of this collaboration to raise awareness on sustainability.

There is niche audience for buying second hand goods and I feel like we reached these people well seeing as though we had a good amount of people entre the store and buy. I think we targeted everyone who would be into making the world a more sustainable way therefore the relevance of this pop up shop was needed to insert hope into the world that one day we will live in a sustainable world that has complete ethical trade.

I have learnt that I do not like buying other people’s worn clothing. I hate the idea of wearing something someone has already sweated in. I have learnt how important ethical trade is and how important it is to work together to raise awareness of sustainability so that hopefully with in my life time we will live in a sustainable world. I have learnt that o archive our goal- to live in a sustainable world that has ethical trade.
