Day II

The second day of the project began with visiting the Albaicin neighborhood, one of the neighborhoods located on the heights of Granada, the area where Muslims prevailed during the Moorish period. It is one of the most visited areas alongside the Alhambra Palace and Generalife Gardens. They are part of the UNESCO heritage of 1984. Granada is the last city to fall under the Christian occupation in 1492, under the reign of Isabella de Castilia and Ferdinand de Aragonan in which Christopher Columbus discovered America.

Alcazaba is the oldest part of the Alhambra, representing a fortified wall from which you can see everything - the neighboring neighborhoods, the city center, and the Sierra Nevada mountains.

Students divided into groups had to answer questions about the history and culture of Granada, the questions were systematized in the form of a questionnaire on Discovering Granada. The pupils were delighted to see what they had visited and known in this cultural activity, they were amazed at the achievements of Moorish art, the direct contact with the history of two civilizations, Moorish and Christian. Through collaboration and teamwork, all students involved in the activity answered the questions in the questionnaire. It was a day full of emotion and memorable memories.
