Red Pepper Braised Mud Fish

When I was young, I was not allowed to have the real spicy Sichuan food since I might choked by the spicy peppers. Thus, the Soar-Spicy Wang became my favorite food. Being a little bit spicy, a little bit soar and also a little bit sweet, the Soar-Spicy Wang makes me totally immersed into the magical smell. Especially in chilling winter, my uncle usually cooks me the special dish. According to traditional Chinese medicine, the congested duck blood is Yang that passes energy to people, my uncle always wants me to keep warm and enjoy the great dishes in the cold weather.

When I grow up, I was later attracted by another delicious Sichuan cuisine known as “Red Pepper braised Tender Mud Fish”. Mud Fish is said to have high percentage of protein and no fat. Thus, we believe that it is a really healthy food. After being braised with red peppers, the pungent but delicious taste can attract everyone. Also, the meat of Mud Fish is quite tender that almost melts immediately in one’s mouth.
