A NEW STYLE OF DELIVERY

British Science Week 2021, was a week like no other. From the 8th to the 12th of March, primary schools across Scotland faced their last week of online learning before returning back to the classroom for the first time since December. With many teachers expecting a drop in online attendance, things were quite different for the 16 schools waiting in anticipation to attend HWDT's brand new "Working with Whales" Q & A sessions.

Launched in February 2021, the 30 minute live sessions were advertised on social media, in mailshots to HWDT's followers and in an article in the Oban Times. Interest was great; 9,808 people viewed the Facebook advert with 649 people engaging with the post, including 84 shares and 500 clicks through to our website. In total we delivered 25 sessions, some of which were extended to 45 minutes at the teachers request.

Inspiring children to become future ambassadors for our seas.
