The Law is a blessing to only a few but Grace blesses all. And
his kindness is for our life time. David who spoke of God’s
wrath now says that God’s kindness will be with us for our life
time. When David was righteous he wanted God’s wrath to be
on all others. But when he sinned, he wanted God’s kindness
and grace from a God who is generally a God of mercy and
Grace.
goodness from the abundant grace. A judgmental spirit will
stop the miracles. Whereas, a spirit of grace will continuously
receive blessings from God.
If we want to be the salt and the light of the world, then
we need to have Christ. If we love others like Christ, then it
will make us eligible to get more glory and receive more blessings. Salt when mixed with all other ingredients will not be
seen but it lends its taste to the dish. In the same manner,
Grace will make us add flavour to many. It makes
us shine as light among many.
Psalm 32:1 -2 says, Blessed is he whose
transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.
Blessed is the man unto whom the Lord imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no
guile.
David wrote in the 1st Psalm – “Blessed is
the man that walketh not in the counsel of the
ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor
sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law
doth he meditate day and night.” David before
committing the sin said that blessed is the man
who meditated on the law day and night. But
after committing the sin, David said that God
had paid for all our sins and made us blessed.
We are at fault if we cannot know that our God
is a gracious God all the time. Even though the
gospel has been preached for 2000 years, our self
righteousness is the stumbling block for not being blessed.
Jesus Christ has forgiven our past, present
and future sins. So we are blessed. This gospel is
too good to believe. No man can be blessed by
the righteousness of law. But grace expands our
hearts, makes us righteous and blesses us. The
law pushes us deep into the quagmire of sin.
David before he committed the sins thought that he
could not be moved. But when he sinned and fell into trouble, he said that God out of his kindness had established him.
David praises God’s kindness and exalts it. So we should also
seek God’s righteousness and his grace. Then God will stabilize
and establish us.
All of us who may have committed sins in the past, need
not fear that we will be punished for then. Because our God
in his grace has forgiven our sins so we will definitely be blessed. We should be free of the judgmental spirit and receive
2 Corinthians 3:6 says, Who also hath
made us able ministers of the New Testament; not of the letter,
but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.
The law which is in the form of the letter, punishes us
definitely because of our sins. Our spirit has life in it whereby
it gives us life. The 10 commandments carved on the tablets
only lead us to death. The 10 commandments are good but
they turn fatal when we want to follow each one of them minutely. Yet they do have a glory of their own. Faith and Righteousness are mixed in it. The glory which was shone on the
face of Moses was a dwindling glory. If the 10 commandments
