Never Cease to Wonder
When I gaze at the sky With the clouds passing by And the sun, and the moon, and the stars, I thrill at the sight every morning and night And never cease to wonder. When the wind’s on my face And it’s tearing through space And the rainbow I trace through the rain They give me the feeling that I should be kneeling And never cease to wonder. When I look at the ocean In constant commotion And the waves breaking over the rocks I think of the danger to friend and to stranger, And never cease to wonder. When I look at the mountains, The streams and the fountains, And the valley and rivers below, There is none to compare with the beauty so rare, And never cease to wonder. When I look at the trees And the flowers in the breeze, And the crops which are ripening for harvest I’m amazed to behold every season unfold And never cease to wonder. When I look at the birds And the fish and the herds And the creatures so great and so small, I lift up my voice to sing and rejoice, And never cease to wonder. When I think of my mother And father and brother My beloved daughter and son, The whole population’s the crown of creation And I never cease to wonder. But to show us the love Of a Father above For all of the people He’s made – It was Jesus who bled and died in our stead And I never cease to wonder. And now he is living And continuously giving His Spirit to all who believe, So the lost may be found and received safe and sound, And I never cease to wonder. One day I shall own A place at His throne With all of the saints and the angels And our hands we shall raise in infinite praise And I’ll never cease to wonder.
