I first saw Aaron skate 2011 in a little local Outlaw race in Oakland Township Michigan. He by far outpaced the field with his speed, tuck and style. You could tell in one run that he meant business and his business is going fast. Needless to say he won the race that day and has been racking up podiums since. I became a fan.
Hailing from Kalamazoo Michigan, Aaron now has located to Colorado where he proves to be right at home burning down mountain switchbacks. Many of us in the Middle Coast just dream of a 20 minute run of pristine scenery and speeds that push our limits. Aaron lives and breathes them riding with some of Colorado’s and the scenes best riders.
Aaron has been gathering podiums and impressive places as well, catching the eye of sponsors and the public. In 2012 Aaron made the quarter finals at the Buffalo Bill Downhill. At Soldiers of Downhill in 2012 of the same year,
Aaron had, in my opinion, one of the sickest runs and finishes I have seen In a final heat. Aaron was running fourth, battling Billy Bones for third. Aaron was drafting coming into the finish line, sling shot around Billy and by the slightest of margins snaked third right at the line. THAT’S RACING!
In 2013 at the ‘I Love DH’ at Windham Mountain, NY, Aaron took second just behind Jonas Richter. Also in 2013 at the Madison County Gravity Fest, Aaron proved to be too much that day and taking high seat on the podium. Just recently Aaron headed out to CA to race the Barrett Junction Outlaw in January of 2014 and scored a 4th place.
If Barrett’s is any indication to the year to come for Aaron then it should be a great one and his sponsors couldn’t be happier. Aaron rides for Jati Boards, Seismic Wheels, Venom Bushings, Trojan Slide Gloves and Boardlife Shop. I suspect others will be lining up to get him onboard as well.
