Well-deserved recognition for Rix chairman
TIM RIX , CHAIRMAN OF J R RIX & SONS , IS TO RECEIVE A CBE FOR SERVICES TO THE ECONOMY AND REGENERATION IN THE HUMBER REGION

“ Tim has been very active in the local community for many years and devotes a great deal of his energy and passion to supporting the city of Hull and the surrounding region . He is vice chairman of the Local Enterprise Partnership with involvement in sub-boards for investment , business development and the North Bank Partnership . He is chair of the City of Hull Leadership Board and chair of the Regional Growth Fund , the Green Port growth programme .

Snowy deliveries and heroic tales
Many thanks to Gleaner Oil drivers Kenny and Iain who took these great shots on recent deliveries to Rogart in Sutherland and the Isle of Skye .
To date January has seen much wintry weather with Scotland , Northern Ireland and the north east of England being particularly hard hit in the middle of the month .
