Karissa Burkhardt( Queen Iduna / Ensemble / Dance Captain) Karissa is thrilled to be in Frozen! Recent TCR productions include Hairspray( Tammy), Jersey Boys( Mary Delgado / others) Beauty and the Beast( Babette), Meet Me in St. Louis( Esther), Cabaret( Frenchie), A Little Night Music( Mrs. Anderssen)( Brucemore), and was a Featured Dancer / Ensemble / Dance Captain in Carrie: The Musical, The Light in the Piazza, Something Rotten!, Wizard of Oz, Mamma Mia, Cinderella, and SpongeBob; Catch Me If You Can, Legally Blonde, Camelot, Beauty and The Beast, Newsies with City Circle; HONK!( Bewick / Winter Soloist) with Revival Theatre; Il Matrimonio Segreto( Elisetta) and HMS Pinafore with UI Opera; Sound of Music( Maria), Sweeny Todd( Johanna), She Kills Monsters( Agnes) with Theatre West; and Amahl and the Night Visitors( Amahl), Persuasion( Cassandra) with Chamber Opera Chicago. Karissa is majoring in vocal performance, theatre, and dance at UIowa and choreographs in the area. Love and thanks to Angie, Janelle, Megan, Madi, Noel, Connor, and the entire cast and crew!
Tatum Calderwood( Elsa) Tatum is so excited to be a part of her first show with Theatre Cedar Rapids! She is currently a senior at the University of Iowa, studying vocal performance. Tatum has previously been seen in shows such as Catch me if you Can( Brenda) and The Mystery of Edwin Drood( Rosa Bud). Working on this show has been an absolute joy thanks to the amazing cast, crew, and directing team that Tatum has been so fortunate to collaborate with. Enjoy the show!
Amelia Douglas( Swing) Amelia Douglas is so excited to be in her first TCR production, Frozen, as a swing role. She learned all of the music and choreography for the show and steps in for anyone who is gone. When she is not covering for people, she is back stage assisting the crew to help everyone shine on stage. Some of Amelia’ s favorite past productions include The Secret Garden( Lily), Into the Woods( Cinderella’ s Mother), and Anastasia( Ensemble). Amelia would like to thank the wonderful cast and crew and her parents, Brian and Christine, for supporting her love for theatre.
Mic Evans( Olaf) No stranger to the TCR Mainstage, Mic is overjoyed to be stepping into Olaf’ s snowshoes this winter. Previous productions include The Hunchback of Notre Dame( Quasimodo), A Gentleman’ s Guide to Love and Murder( Monty Navarro), Dracula( Renfield), Beauty and the Beast( LeFou), and The SpongeBob Musical( THE SpongeBob SquarePant). He’ s also been featured with Mirrorbox Theatre, SPT Theatre, The Giving Tree Theater and more! When Mic isn’ t acting or directing, he’ s hard at work as the Director of Education and Inclusion here at TCR.
