Food is more than survival, with it we
make friends, court lovers, and give
thanks.
M
Y name is Jean Pierre also known as
“Mister Miami”. I am a 38 year old
Miami native, who found love for
food by embracing the melting pot
of the different cultures in my city.
Food has become a way to connect our
heritage with our own cultural identity.
Whether by means of a bowl of griot (fried
pork); for a young Haitian boy in Haiti, or a new
immigrant family in the United States making
tamales for Christmas dinner.
“Food is the connection that brings us all
together.”
As a traveler & food enthusiast, I discovered that
some of the best food doesn’t come from the
most noble places. Also throughout my journey;
I’ve learned to just close my eyes & open up
my tastebuds for the chance to experience
HEAVEN or HELL!!!
Whenever dining out, food is always my first
priority and everything else takes a backseat.
In my opinion, what differentiates a Five
Star Restaurant from a Two Star Restaurant
are the standards set by the owner of the
establishment regarding their food quality;
while providing the guests with the reassurance
that they will receive the same quality of
treatment and food with every meal.
