“Self-confidence is not the same thing as ego. This is not to say that the two don’t (frequently) dance hand in hand down the street, pushing over old ladies in crosswalks and kicking baby kittens. But they are definitely not the same entity. Ego is thinking you have all the answers. Self-confidence is knowing you don’t have the answers, but being pretty sure that you will be able to find them.” ― Maggie Stiefvater
Here’s why confidence isn’t the be-all you thought it to be.
1.
#Truthbomb It’s really that simple.
Confidence requires work, sweat, and leaning into things you might shy away from on a normal day. It’s not something you can order online or subscribe too.
2.
Most people think you need confidence to activate just about anything. It’s like once you get it you have magical powers that make you invincible, and able to do just about anything. Now, that sounds silly, but a lot of us still think that way. Just like inspiration, we wait till things feel right, and with only with the right amount of motivation can we truly own the experience.
Confidence doesn’t work that way. You can only get confident in something if you actually do the work. That might mean falling down and getting a couple bruises on the way, and of course never giving up. Practise really does make perfect. The more you lean into it, the more confident you’ll start to feel.
“Life is ten percent what you experience and ninety percent how you respond to it.” ― Dorothy M. Neddermeyer

Waiting around for just about anything to land in your lap, regardless of how much visualization and manifestation work you do, just isn’t going to cut it. In fact, it’s just going to complicate things. Why? Because what you say you want and the actions that you choose to take are not in alignment.
Instead you’re more than likely waiting for the new situation to feel less threatening and a lot more snug and comfort shaped. If that’s the case, you’re basically asking for more of the same delivered in a slightly different shade of red.
What are you really holding back for?
“If you have a dream, don’t just sit there. Gather courage to believe that you can succeed and leave no stone unturned to make it a reality.” ― Roopleen
