Interpretation of Graph:
As time goes on the position changes to a high point to a low point. The velocity goes faster when going down.
Mathematical Model:
The initial velocity is 32 cm/s and the final velocity is 56 cm/s and you subtract the initial velocity from the final velocity then divide it by time which is 3 seconds and then that answer would be your acceleration that is 8.
Vf-vi = a 56-32 = 8 a=8
T
Conclusion:
The numerical value for the slope at 6 seconds is 42 cm/s which tells us that the cart is going down in a negative direction at that slope. The acceleration would be 8 and the initial velocity would be 32. An equation that is using vi and a is the equation for acceleration which is vf=vi+at.
We ran multiple trials with different slopes due to how many books the ramp had and it depended on how many books it had. If it had more books the velocity would be faster.
