It was in 2015 when Andiswa
Makanda first spoke to
Frequency Magazine after
she won an MTN Radio Award
(now Liberty Radio Awards)
for best content producer. The
702’s executive producer has
grown within the talk radio sta-
tion since then and witnessed
the changes which took place
at the station over the years.
I catch up with Andiswa at
Primedia building in Sandton
where 702 is situated to talk
about her growth as a content
producer for a renowned talk
radio station.
“After winning the MTN Radio
Award, I was moved to execu-
tive producer role; John Robbie
left and was replaced by Xolani
Gwala on the breakfast show,
so I started to produce for him,”
says Andiswa.
