1 Nation FM is
the new kid on the
block of talk radio.
26 Frequency Magazine
Established in March 2018, it
took a lot of sweat and ground
work for 1 Nation FM to acquire
a licence from ICASA and final-
ly go on air. After stumbling on
the station’s Facebook page
around the end of 2018, I asked
a couple of people in the radio
industry based in Polokwane for
some information and contacts
to no avail. It was when I decid-
ed to send a direct message on
the page that I finally got a re-
sponse from Desmond Mongoai
who is the station manager of 1
Nation FM. Without hesitation, I
requested for an interview and
after back and forth emails and
phone conversations, we finally
made it happen.
