Ride Pays Tribute to Fallen MIT Officer
On August 17, more than one hundred law enforcement officers from area departments paid tribute to fallen MIT Officer Sean Collier by taking part in a motorcycle procession. The ride began at the MIT campus in Cambridge, where participants held a moment of silence and laid a single red rose where Officer Collier was killed. The procession travelled over the Longfellow Bridge to the State House, where officers and supporters attended a ceremony at the Massachusetts Law Enforcement Memorial. During the ceremony, participants laid a wreath at the memorial in Collier’s honor.
