HOW TO SCRUB
Stage 3: Don’t power up the
take-off like you normally would
do on a jump – let off the gas on
the face of the jump, and start
leaning yourself and the bike
over a bit.
Stage 6: Transfer your body
weight back over the front of the
bike and make sure everything is
nice and straight for the landing.
If you’re still a bit sideways when
you land give it some gas – that
usually works!
Stage 5: As soon as you’ve
done this, start turning the
bars back around and start
straightening up your body.
Stage 4: Just as you take off
keep leaning over and turn the
bars hard to full-lock to help turn
the bike down in the air. I find a
little dab on the back brake can
often be helpful at this point too.
Stage 7: Keep looking up, get
on the gas and ride away fast
and smooth towards the next
jump!
