months to fix that. For the most
part I had it pretty easy. It was a
little hard on my wheel sets for a
minute (laughs).
Speaking of some near misses,
Genova SX took you down, was
that one of the more serious
injuries you’ve had?
Yeah, I broke my femur, shoulder,
and knee. That is probably
one of the worst breaks of my
career. It was a one-off type
event; they contacted me and
wanted me to do a 360 Nac Nac.
It was Beau Bamburg, Ronnie
Renner, and myself there, I think
they were doing a Whip and I was
supposed to do a 360.

going off the ramp. I was going
for a Nac Nac to Heel Clicker
Flip and I don’t remember that
much because I got knocked
out but when I did the Nac Nac
I remember my peg foot slipped

I was off and basically doing a
Double Nac Flip upside down and
I tried to get back on the bike but
I was just too off balance. Right
before I hit the ground I pushed
off the bike and kind of took the
impact on my side. I broke my
femur, my shoulder, my knee
and got knocked out. Those two
weeks I stayed in that hospital
were the two worst weeks in my
life.
What’s it like getting hurt in
another country like that?
It was the worst experience in
my life by far. It was not a very
good hospital, it wasn’t clean at
all. It was crazy. Drilling a foot
long drill bit into my knee with
no anaesthetics, my leg and
femur laid there overlapped for
three days before they put it into
traction. They wouldn’t let me
leave because my insurance u
