Laure Moutet Manheimer has devoted her career to the
fragrance industry and advocating for fragrance across the
globe. With an expertise in essential oils and botanicals, she
has remained steadfast in her commitment to advancing suc-
cess for customers and colleagues alike. A mentor and friend
to many, Laure has been a constant, supportive presence in
the industry for nearly 50 years.
Born in Grasse, France, Laure was destined to join the
world of fragrance, becoming the third generation in her
family to join the essential oil businesses. She moved to
the United States in 1968, where she continued to grow her
business and advance her career.
Over four decades, Laure served as Owner and President
of JPM Imports, Inc., and Vice President of Sales at J.
Manheimer Inc., and Kerry Ingredients & Flavors. Laure
was the first woman to serve on the Board of Directors for
Fragrance Creators Association (then called Fragrance Ma-
terials Association), and the first and only woman to receive
the association’s Lifetime Achievement Award. She was the
first woman on the Board and a founding member of the
European Federation of Essential Oils, where she currently
serves. She was also the first recipient of the Women in
Flavor and Fragrance Commerce Woman of the Year Award.
Continuing her trailblazing record, Laure is the first woman
recipient of the Eric Bruell Distinguished Service Award.
“Laure is a fabulous industry trailblazer,” said Farah K.
Ahmed, President & CEO, Fragrance Creators Association.
“She has worked with unending passion and charisma to
promote and protect fragrance and its ability to uplift lives.”
“Laure is one of our industry’s most beloved leaders,”
said Robert Weinstein, Ph.D., Chairman of the Fragrance
Creators Board of Directors and President & CEO of Rober-
tet USA. “I admire her many achievements, especially her
championing of young professionals to ensure the future of
our industry is in good hands.”
Laure will accept her award and be celebrated at
