Oliver ( 5D ) What does art mean to you ?
It means a lot of things to me . It means that I can use my imagination and do what I want .
What excites you / what do you enjoy about art ?
The free thinking that we do and the different art .
How do you feel when you are in art class or just making art on your own ?
The good thing about art is that you can be in any mood to do art . I feel excited and happy .
What is your favourite piece of art that you have created ?
Clay faces !
What is your favourite type of art to work on in class ? / What has been your favourite project in art this year ?
The Keith Haring project was really fun and the clay faces were exciting . Otherwise I enjoy any art as long as it is creative .

Keith Haring , Pablo Picasso , Anh Do and my Grandma !
Audrey ( 4W ) What does art mean to you ?
I love art because it helps me to just unwind after a long day of hard work and stress . I like to just draw .
What excites you / what do you enjoy about art ?
My favourite form of art is clay because you can just mould it and relax then you can paint and bam , you`re done !
How do you feel when you are in art class or just making art on your own ?
To me , nothing is ever as fun , relaxing or amazing as art . To me , all you ever need for entertainment is a pencil and paper .
What is your favourite piece of art that you have created ?
My favourite creation so far has been a red , purple and blue bird bath that I still have at home .
What is your favourite type of art to work on in class ? / What has been your favourite project in art this year ?
My favourite project has been making clay owls with Mrs Elliot . She is amazing .
Do you have a favourite artist ? Yes . Laurel Birch is my favourite because she has painted some lovely pieces of art including a wide array of cats .
Dhinuk ( 4W ) What does art mean to you ? Art is a very calming activity .
What excites you / what do you enjoy about art ?
I enjoy using different colours and making new things with different materials .
How do you feel when you are in art class or just making art on your own ?
I feel relaxed and calm .
What is your favourite piece of art that you have created ?
My favourite piece of art that I have done is a tree that I have created using pretty paper with glitter when I was in Year 2 .
What is your favourite type of art to work on in class ? / What has been your favourite project in art this year ?
My favourite piece of art this year is my clay sunflower .
Do you have a favourite artist ?
Pablo Picasso , because he has designed buildings in a few countries and they look fabulous .

To me art means freedom from the outer world like another place full of imagination . If you want a horse you can go and draw a horse . If you have a dog but you want her to fly you can draw her flying through the air and so on .
Art calms me down and helps me sleep better and even if you only have a pencil at home , who cares , you can still draw something wonderful , but don ’ t doodle on your school work ! ☺

I like art because you can express yourself freely . It ’ s not like fashion , you don ’ t have to draw a certain thing and it ’ s a great way to find your inner talent .
You might not be the best drawer or the best sketcher but you might be the best painter . I think of art like meditation , if I am feeling stressed I can draw or paint a picture and I forget what I was stressed about .
It ’ s a great way to stretch the muscles especially if you have an exam coming up . So that is why I like art .
