Acta Dermato-Venereologica has now been published with immediate Open Access since 2011 and hopefully this is appreciated by all readers. Concurrently the impact factor has doubled to now nearly 4. What is new from 2017 is that the journal is only published online. A paper version is no longer available, but paginated isues still exist, now 10 per year.
We receive around 600 papers a year for consideration and accept around 50 % of these papers, however, most of them after one or more revisions. The national distribution of authors publishing in ActaDV are shown in Fig. 1.
Some recent highlights in issue 6 – 8 of ActaDV volume 97
In Table I, a selection of papers is shown as examples of recent highlights exposed on the front page of the journal.
The topics span from basic disease mechanism to drug development and psychological aspects of dermatology and venereology.
Editor’ s choices displayed on the ActaDV website
For each issue the Editor also presents some of the highlights on the website, especially when illustative pictures are available. Fig. 2 shows a few of the Editor’ s choices from issues 6 – 8.
