So Carlos went on to install a 2500 RPM Stall Converter and an 8.75 rear end with a sweet gear ratio of 3:55. Leaf springs were replaced along with the steering pump for a stiffer feel to the car. Carlos didn’t forget the interior which got a new carpet and the seats got new covers. The glass and the headliner are still original on the car since they were in great shape.

Overall, Carlos took his time with his masterpiece making sure he got it done right the first time. He states the most difficult part of the build was the car being completely dismantled. Looking at a warehouse full of parts was very overwhelming. Luckily, the best advice he got was to take things one step at a time, task by task.

He doesn’t really know how he was able to accomplish the build with so little time on his hands. But being a freelance photographer gave him the flexibility he needed to accomplish the build. The most pivotal point to the build Carlos states is the point where the car was finally painted. It took him a whole year just to get the Dart to that state. All in all, the truest statement that can be made here with this build is that patience and determination truly pay off in the long run. The pictures speak for themselves. Great job Carlos.
