Forgotten Identity Chapter I | Page 2

In a world full billions of people, live a select few who are different. These few individuals are special. Born with a power within themselves, they hide their ability from society. No one but their own kind know of them, yet they don’t know who is one of them. These people are called mages. Mages live their life without telling any non-mage about their mysterious abilities in fear of being ridiculed. No one knows how or why mages were born the way they were. The only way to know if someone is a mage is if they choose to tell you or if you see them display their abilities.

The steady beat of the pouring rain filled the empty streets of Otsukimi Town. Heavy, dark grey clouds crowd the sky, bringing a gloomy atmosphere with it. Families and friends stay indoors, sheltering themselves from the cold droplets of water. In a small apartment building across a small river, lives a teenage girl- a mage. The said girl was no older than fifteen. She had midnight black hair with dark blue ends that curled at the end. Her crystal blue eyes look out the window, toward the river with sadness. Rainy days would always remind her of that day.

“Rena, are you done packing?”

“Yeah. Can you believe that summer’s already over Kira?”

“Nope. Sorry Rena, I gotta go now, my Mom’s calling.Bye.”

“ ‘Kay, be careful in the rain. Bye.”
