“ The track of my Keele years has to be Reef and Place Your Hands . It was played throughout my time 1998-2002 in the SU Ballroom and was always a crowd-favourite to get the floor moving ( not to mention a very hoarse voice ).
Whenever I hear it these days , I reminisce fondly of those nights !”

“ Katy Perry – Roar in 2013 . Used to be the anthem for Keele Women ’ s Lacrosse team ( and it may still be ) and it was played every Wednesday night in the SU !”

“ It ’ s the day of Summer AU Ball , 2017 . Having had to wake up at a ghastly hour ( 9am ) a few weeks before to bid for the sell-out tickets , we knew it was going to be a good night .
After months of shopping for the perfect outfit and hours doing hair and makeup ( knowing Lee , the photographer , would be there to get you a banging new profile pic ), we turned up at Horwood to meet the rest of the team . It was an unusual experience to see your fellow Swim Team pals without their swimwear and instead in floor length ball gowns and snazzy suits … it turns out everyone does own a hairbrush after all .
The end of the night arrived and just as everyone was ready to leave , in true Keele SU style , the intro to Mr Brightside by The Killers began blaring out of the speakers . Any Keelite will know that no matter where you were at that point , it was virtually a law that you had to drop what you were doing and SPRINT to the dance floor . There is no greater moment than being in the middle of Keele SU , surrounded by all of your besties , marking an end to what will live onto be one of the best years of our lives . What I ’ d give to be back there just one more time !”

“ My track is Closing Time by Semisonic , as it invokes memories of a cracking night with eclectic friends in the KPA circa 2015 . John or Jules would always put it on as our final evening track , signaling the end of another night of antics and beers . Good times .”
