Professor McMillan chairs the Midlands Innovation board and is a member of the Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire Local Enterprise Partnership board and the board of the Shropshire , Telford and Wrekin Integrated Care System . He also chairs Network Staffordshire .
In addition , we would like to congratulate the following alumni , who also received accolades in this latest honours list :
• Sir Timothy Le Cocq ( Law & Psychology 1980 ) received a Knighthood for services to the Crown
• Mr Bharat Patel ( Diagnostic Services and Management 1994 ) received an MBE for services to the community in Greater London , particularly during Covid-19
• Mrs Tracy Lynne Paine ( Gerontology 1994 ) received an MBE for services to Dementia Care
• Professor Julian D Orford ( Geography & Sociology 1970 ) received a Medal of the Order of the British Empire for services to the Environment
