Rather than putting the focus on competition and timed runs, we put an emphasis on teamwork and helping others conquer challenges. It's a very rewarding experience to see the teamwork participants display, as well as helping people through difficult challenges. I was wondering if you wouldn't mind spreading the word to the Fordham Prep community (alumni who are at least 18, and any staff that would be interested) about the opportunity to participate or volunteer. We offer a couple great perks for volunteers such as discounted prices to participate (up to 90%), discounts at merchandise, free t-shirt and hat, and a free beer (for those 21 and over). The link to the volunteer portal is https://mvp.rosterfy.co/login. Those who are interested can sign up individually, or if people want to do a group they can contact me directly." Jovy Dedaj ’09: The Ninth Circuit Appellate Project is a clinic at Boston College Law School which permits third-year law students to represent indigent clients facing immigration consequences for their criminal convictions. Each year, Professor Kari Hong, an appellate litigator in the Ninth Circuit, selects two teams of two students to manage the case. Throughout their third year, the students draft and file the opening and reply briefs and prepare for oral arguments before a three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. This year, I successfully argued such a case in San Francisco.
