Culinary Institute of America Founder’s Day
On October 7, 50 members of the Fordham Prep community
attended a unique excursion to the Culinary Institute of America
(CIA), former home of the Jesuit Novitiate St. Andrew-on-Hudson.
Led by Fordham Prep Trustee and CIA graduate Fr. Chuck
Frederico, SJ, the trip included a private tour of the historic
grounds, followed by Mass and a luncheon at the American
Bounty Restaurant. On June 25, Fordham Prep celebrated Founder’s Day with Mass
and the dedication of our lobby and renovated Commons. Over
150 people were in attendance to witness the momentous
event. Special thanks were given to all the contributors to the
175th Anniversary Campaign to date, especially to the
benefactors, without whose funding, the renovation of the
Commons and the creation of our lobby would not have been
possible, especially:
• James ’82 & Diane Rowen
• John & Catherine McCarthy, Fallon, Thomas ’17 and
