Soccer Enjoys Historic Season
Tennis Wins CHSAA Championship
New York City Champs
The Fordham Prep soccer team experienced a soccer season for
the ages, winning 19 straight games, winning the CHSAA “AA”
Intersectional Division title and the New York Archdiocesan title
with a 3-0 win over Regis. Unfortunately, the Varsity Soccer came
short of their ultimate dream, losing 2-1 in the CHSAA state
semi-finals against Chaminade.
The team finished the season 19-1-0 and ranked first in New
York City for all schools and 13th in the nation. Seniors Micheal
Kennedy, Luke McNamara and Shane Queenan were selected to
play in the NYC Mayor's Cup where the CHSAA team took on the
PSAL All-Stars at St. John's University.
Congratulations to long-time Fordham Prep soccer coach Peter
McNamara, the coaching staff and all the players!
The tennis team won the CHSAA "A" Championship defeating Iona
Prep 3-2.
