Varsity football players celebrate their victory over Xavier at the 100th Turkey Bowl .
Football
The Varsity Football team concluded the season with a final record of 6 – 5 . The team produced convincing victories over Saint Francis ( 27 – 0 ) and Holy Cross ( 38 – 8 ), along with wins against Mount St . Michael , Christ the King , and Kennedy Catholic . While the Rams fell short in the playoffs , they were at their best for the 100th Turkey Bowl against the Knights of Xavier . On 4th and goal from the one-yard line , the defense stood tall and made the stop , securing both a 21 – 14 win and their place in Fordham Prep football history !
The JV football team finished their season with a 3 – 5 record , securing notable wins against Xaverian , Mount St . Michael , and Saint John the Baptist . While the JV Rams fell short in the first round of the playoffs , they certainly displayed their prowess on the gridiron .
The Fordham Prep Freshman Football Team finished the season with a 2 – 6 record . The team had victories over Holy Cross and St . Joseph by the Sea . The team worked hard all season , learning how to practice , study film , and develop fundamental skills at their various positions that are needed to win . The future of Rams football looks very promising as this team has lots of young talented players .
Crew
The crew team had its best day of the fall at the Overpeck Fall Classic in Leonia , NJ . Robert Romani ’ 24 took 1st place in the Men ’ s Youth 1x . In the Men ’ s Youth Novice 2x , Brian Hickey ’ 26 took 1st place . In the Men ’ s Youth Second Varsity 4x , stroked by Ryan Palumbo ’ 25 and Aidan Pianetti ’ 25 , the Rams clinched the 4th and 8th places , respectively . The Rams also had another strong performance at the Head of the Passaic Regatta . In the Men ’ s HS JV 4x , Ryan Palumbo ’ 25 and Aidan Pianetti ’ 25 secured 2nd and 9th place finishes respectively . In the Men ’ s HS Novice 8x , Noah Franklin ’ 27 stroked a 4th-place finish . The Crew team wrapped up its fall season at the Head of the Schuylkill Regatta , with Robert Romani ’ 24 earning a silver medal . Adding to the team ’ s achievements , the Men ’ s Youth Second Varsity 2x , stroked by Ryan Palumbo ’ 25 , secured a commendable 4th place . Overall , the program showcased skill and determination across various categories during the season .
