2021 HALL OF HONOR
CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR INDUCTEES
The 2021 Fordham Prep Hall of Honor Class was announced on Friday , November 19th , 2021 . The Induction Dinner will be held on Friday , November 18th , 2022 in the Garden Terrace Room at the New York Botanical Garden . The Hall of Honor Nominating Committee ultimately selected the following nine members of the Prep community for induction into the Prep ’ s Hall of Honor .

Rev . Kenneth Boller , SJ , the 34th president of Fordham Prep , who served the school for nine years .
† Irene R . Cozzarin B . L . S ., M . A . served as the Prep ’ s assistant librarian for several decades in the ’ 50s and ’ 60s . She was a key figure of many Prep students ’ experience during a time when the library was a vital tool in a successful student ’ s kit .
George Febles P ’ 15 P ’ 22 ( Faculty ) is an outstanding member of the Social Studies Department at the Prep ( 34 years ) and a cross-country and track and field coach ( 32 years ). He has been inducted into the Catholic High School Athletic Association ’ s Hall of Fame and was awarded as the Mike Byrnes Coach of the Year in 2020 . He has coached 16 National Champions , 11 CHSAA State Catholic Team Championships , and 88 All-Americans .
† Col . Jack Fischer ’ 32 . A P-47 Thunderbolt pilot during WWII shot down near Frankfurt , he spent 15 months in Stalag Luft 1 where he used his legal training to defend fellow POWs brought up on spurious charges by the Nazis . Decorated for valor , Jack went on to fly reconnaissance missions during the Korean conflict and founded an orphanage with a Catholic priest . Colonel Fischer was awarded the Purple Heart and the Air Medal for his service in WWII , and was twice awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for his service in Korea , as well as the Bronze Star Medal and two Air Medals .
Judge Bill Kuntz ’ 68 was nominated by President Barack Obama in 2011 to fill a seat on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York and was unanimously confirmed by the Senate .
Robert Murphy ’ 72 currently sits as the Chief Medical Officer of Populytics for the Lehigh Valley Health Network , where he is the clinical lead for all of the population health initiatives of the network .
Eduardo Vilaro ’ 82 founded the Luna Negra Dance Theater in Chicago and is now artistic director and CEO of Ballet Hispánico , the foremost dance representative of Hispanic culture in the U . S . Forbes awarded him Compassionate Leader of the Year in January 2021 .
Brendan Walsh ’ 60 founded Viva House in Southwest Baltimore in 1968 . Viva House has provided services as a soup kitchen and food pantry ever since .
† Paul Williams ’ 56 served several terms as a member of the Board of Trustees and received a “ Citation for Distinguished Service as an
Alumni Volunteer ” in 2004 .
