Fordham Prep Track and Field rounded out a historic Spring 2022 season on all levels of competition . On March 26th , the Freshman Track and Field team competed at the CHSAA opener at Icahn Stadium . Jonathan Bailey led the way with gold medal performances in both the High Jump and 110 Meter Hurdles . A month later , Sophomore Gaspare LoDuca won the CHSAA Novice Discus Championship with a new personal best throw of 100 ' 6 " and is the first time he broke the 100-foot barrier in competition .
Seniors Carter Tresgallo and Michael Croke both had tremendous seasons in the Pole Vault . At the Eastern States Track and Field Championships in March , seniors Carter Tresgallo and Mike Croke took third and fifth places , making history as the first pair of Prep pole vaulters to clear 14 feet 6 inches in the same meet . A couple of months later , Carter claimed the NYC Catholic Championship in his personal best jump of 15 ' 3 " and was named the Meet MVP for field events .
The Prep Track and Field team emerged from the Easter break among New York State ’ s best . The Shuttle Hurdle relay of Quinn Kennedy ’ 22 , Aden Bedford ’ 24 , Lucas Ocasio ’ 25 and Jonathan
Bailey ’ 25 is ranked # 1 in the state . The 4x800m Relay of Dean Mayo ’ 22 , Darren Croke ’ 22 , Jack Gallagher ’ 23 and Myles Hogan ’ 22 ranked # 1 in the state . The 4x400 meter relay of Kennedy , Arison Cruz ’ 22 , Lucas Chrostowski ’ 23 and Jaylin Santiago ’ 24 placed # 8 in NY State .
During the historic Penn Relays , the distance medley relay team of Dean Mayo , Jaylin Santiago , Darren Croke and Myles Hogan won the fifth place medal in Saturday ’ s Championship of America on Friday . The 4x400 meter relay of Quinn Kennedy , Robert Disney , Arison Cruz and Santiago followed up on Saturday with an exciting win in the 400-meter relay .
Weeks later , Myles Hogan won the prestigious Loucks Games 3200 Meter race and later narrowly missed a gold medal in the “ Trial of Miles ,” finishing with a new Fordham Prep record and NY State-leading time of 4:05.69 . On May 28 , the Rams edged past St . Anthony ’ s in the final 4x400 relay of the weekend to bring home Fordham Prep ’ s seventh CHSAA Outdoor Track and Field title . Hogan capped his season by winning the overall NY State Title in the 3200 meter race , setting a meet record in the process .

Volleyball
One of the early season highlights for Fordham Prep Volleyball was a match against Holy Cross in early April , in which the team regained their court connection and dominated the third set to take the match and improve their record to 2-0 on the season . Great offensive plays from hitters Sam Carello , Parker Allen , and Charlie Reilly , as well as excellent serving by Mike Homola and Ryan Weigle , all contributed to this win . The Rams finished the season with a 7-3 record , earning the # 2 seed for the CHSAA Playoffs . The Rams ended their season with a loss to Xaverian in the Quarter-Final round of the playoffs .
