“A DIfferent Girl” program focuses on teaching girls from different nationalites and languages everything from technology to everyday math problems. I had the oppurtunity to mentor and help these young girls get through the difficulty of being a newcomer to the United States. The young girls were not the only fortunate ones to learn something new from this program. As a mentor my patience and comprehension to new languages and different personalities grew immensly. I could not feel any more fortunate to be part of a group of young girls that want to inspire and help other girls become a better them they could possibly be. Education is very important but so is inner growth and Decidete Mujer makes sure both strengths occur within the young girls.
